Sisbro Tries Photosynthesis

In a startling move Sunday, siblings Laura and Robert Sams of Sisbro Studios decided to go green . . . literally. Laura and Robert Sams

“We wanted to give photosynthesis a try,” Laura said.

Photosynthesis, a process normally performed by organisms containing chlorophyll, is the way in which plants and other photoautotrophs make their own food.

“We figured, if plants can do it, why can’t we?” Robert said.  “It should be easy.  We just have to use sunlight to help convert the carbon dioxide and water within our bodies to make oxygen and carbohydrates.”

By utilizing photosynthesis to produce carbohydrates, the siblings would be able to produce their own food internally.

“Imagine how much money we’ll save on groceries!” Robert said.  “Though one downside is that we’ll probably turn green.”

Scientists from around the world have applauded Sisbro’s effort, but they unanimously agree humans cannot perform photosynthesis.  “Laura and Robert sure are enthusiastic, but there is no way they’ll succeed.  Perhaps they should find other ways to go green,” a prominent scientist from a very important university said.

“If we do turn green, at least we’ll be the color of our alma mater, Michigan State University,” Laura said.
