About Laura

Laura's Wanted PosterLaura Sams combines a Master's degree in natural resources education with degrees in zoology and parks/recreation to find creative ways of helping people explore the natural world. Before her Sisbro life, she was fortunate to study hyenas in Africa and work with the education department at an aquarium in Mazatlán, Mexico. Now she focuses on filmmaking, writing and making Sisbro Studios the best it can be. Yes, this includes dressing in costume from time to time.

Recently she was spotted dressed as Mother Nature, as well as the one-eyed sister of a one-legged pirate. In Stranger in the Woods: The Movie, she is the voice of the babbling brook, the singing snowdrift Janine, and the fairy-like voice of the little oak leaf narrator.

In Lost in the Woods, she is the voice of an old box turtle and sings like a mother doe. She plays the piano, writes songs that force (yes, force) people to tap their toes, has a knack for graphic design and makes tasty homemade biscuits. Plus, she enjoys performing educational assemblies for thousands of people each year.

But who is she really? Read an essay Robert wrote about her.
